How to Get Here

The scenic area stands on Park Road in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan — about 60 km northwest of downtown Chengdu, at the point where the Min River leaves the mountains.

If the map does not load, open Dujiangyan Scenic Area in Google Maps. By train, ride the intercity line from Chengdu's Xipu Station (connected to Metro Lines 2/6) to Lidui Park Station (离堆公园) — the station sits by the entrance. Taxis and ride-hailing apps recognize both "Dujiangyan Irrigation System" and the Chinese name "都江堰景区". Buses also link Chengdu's railway stations with Dujiangyan throughout the day.

Four Tips for a Smooth Visit

Book onlineTickets from $11.99 on Trip.com — instant confirmation and an e-ticket on your phone, with no ticket-window queue when tour groups arrive.
Mind the clockTickets stop at 17:30 in summer season (17:00 in winter) — and everyone must leave the park by 20:00 (19:30 in winter). Enter earlier than you think and walk the loop unhurried.
Pets and drones stay homePets are not allowed in the scenic area, and drone flights are prohibited across the park. Bring a zoom lens instead of a quadcopter.
Keep the e-ticket handyEntry is by the QR code sent with your booking — keep it on your phone (a screenshot helps if signal drops at the gate). Bring your passport for real-name checks.
